Lamar Muse was President the airline. Universal purchased the certificate and assets of Zantop Air Transport to operate both cargo and passenger charter operations. Cargo operations were mostly the automobile manufacturing industry. Significant transatlantic passenger charter programs and military contract were their strong point. The airline purchased American Flyers Airline in 1971. Shortly after the American Flyers purchase, the CAB revoked their transatlantic charter authority and in 1972, the company filed for bankruptcy.
